Top-notch Sunday brunch right in the middle of the restaurant district of South End. I went for the eggs benedict, a brunch/lunch staple of mine. While I wasn't expecting the veritable salad's-worth of greens with the dish, it came together just right, and not at as high of a price as some of the other places around. (Mind you, this is still Charlotte). The only possible complaint about the food is that the eggs for the benedict weren't runny as they ought to be for this dish. However, the caveat to my complaint comes back to the greens: if the eggs had been runny, the mixing of the yolk and greens might not be so good. Service-wise, good and unobtrusive. I wasn't left waiting for long at any point of my meal when I'd need service, but neither was I hovered over. The ambience is one thing that'll for sure bring me back. 300 East is set up inside a converted house and has my favorite combo of artsy digs and quieter techno music. One warning, though: the two-person booths are (possibly) antique and are cramped even for average me. The straight wooden backs will definitely fix your posture, too.

Great food, outstanding service...I thoroughly enjoy this restaurant, I really love the outdoor seating, it's a perfect evening/weekend dinner spot. My favorite dish is the crab cake, but everything is delicious here.

We visited 300 East while spending time with my son in college at UNC Charlotte. Jake our waiter was fantastic! Not only did he make excellent food recommendations but he also took time to explain how to travel around Charlotte and gave advice on local shops and art surrounding the area. Their food was amazing and the restaurant has true southern charm. This is definitely a place to frequent if in town.

Very charming former home that now is a restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Weekends are for brunch and make sure you listen to the specials! Elizabeth, our server, was amazing: friendly, respectful, she know all the plates and made some recommendations and was always ready to answer any questions we had. We ordered a custard filled French toast as an appetizer but instead of vanilla, it had a lemon custard that was delicious! It came with caramel walnut that were delicious: they even had a little salt on them. I had the breakfast nachos that featured home made chips, two eggs, pico, guac, black beans, etc. I asked that they add bacon to the mix because bacon makes the world go round! We also tried their crab Benedict's with pepper jelly on the side. Everything was fresh, delicious and needless to say, we will be back on our next visit to Charlotte!

Really, really solid option especially during Savor. For $50/person, you get a three course meal. And these aren't skimpy portions either like what some restaurants do during Queens Feast. These are proper, regular sized dishes. Every restaurant can choose how they want to approach Savor. I liked how 300 set up their menu with one old trustee option (current menu) and one new option for each course. Between my partner and I, we were able to try everything. Here's our take: Starters Baked Goat Cheese (old trustee): I see why this is a fan favorite. The cheese is baked with good olive oil, sun dried tomatoes, and garlic. Comes with a baguette, but I preferred dipping my biscuit instead (more on that below). Biscuit Flight (new item): Comes with three biscuits!! As well as three savory dips that are made in house. The dips were okay but as aforementioned using the goat cheese like a spread was the move for me. Mains Sesame Salmon (old trustee): I actually make a dish similar to this at home, so it didn't blow my mind but my partner liked it well enough. Roasted Half Chicken (new item): Had a nice roasted, crispy skin. Came with a garlic jus gravy and veggies. If you are carbed out from the apps, this is a good option. Again, simple but good. Dessert Ice Cream Sandwich (old trustee): If I could handle my caffeine after 12pm, I would have definitely eaten more of this. The espresso ice cream paired so well with the maple oatmeal cookie. Glad to know it's a regular on the menu so I can come back and get it for an early lunch. Cheesecake (new item): Get the ice cream sandwich.

This was my second time here and another great experience. Love the decor and ambiance, so comfortable and homey! The menu has something for everyone. And great cocktails and wine selection too! Ordered the french onion soup- excellent, the salmon - cooked perfectly, and the tuna salad- absolutely delicious!! Easy parking situation, easy to get to and friendly, warm service!

Excellent ambiance and delicious food. I had the grass fed burger, it was delicious. Ordered it medium but it came a little more medium rare. A big mouthful, but really delicious with great ingredients. I added cheddar cheese. My wife had the BLT, we both went with French onion soup as our sides. Oh, it was so good! As good as any French onion soup I've ever had in my life. Really top-notch. I had a NODA pumpkin beer, my wife had a house Chardonnay wine. This place has a great vibe and excellent atmosphere. It was really hopping too, lots of customers! This is a place we have seen for the past year and a half, and always wanted to try, and now we have. We will be back! It was awesome, highly recommended! Five stars!

My absolute go to whenever I am in Charlotte. 300 East Is such a quaint and cozy spot with the most exceptional food and service that never disappoints. On this visit I had chicken and biscuits with a side of mac and cheese. Outstanding! Will definitely order again on the next visit. Chicken seasoned super well with the perfect amount of crisp. Mac and cheese was creamy goodness, slaw, amazing. Different from what I have ever had. Love the spin on it. The biscuits?!??? There are no words in Webster's (iykyk) to describe how delicious these melt in your mouth, buttery, taste of goodness they are. I need an order to go next time! Love this place! See you soon!!!

Atmosphere was very cute! Tables were seated good distance apart. Arrived early for our reservation and were seated promptly. At noon, most outdoor tables were under shade, so we ate outside and it was pleasant despite the heat. Food was fantastic!! Eggs were cooked perfectly for both pizza and Benedict and flavors were very good. Service was quick- seated, ate, and checks delivered in less than an hour. Price are extremely reasonable. 10/10 recommend!

You have GOT to try the French onion soup! It is amazing! I actually went to 300 East during Restaurant Week after seeing it on a show on the Food Network. Parking is behind the building and limited so be sure to allow time to park. We had a 7pm reservation on a Friday night and the place was packed. We didn't have to wait long for our table. I had the hanger steak with mashed potatoes and it was buttery and tender. Cooked perfectly! Most people were dressed casually but I think you could dress up a little bit. Very high quality food with great service. I look forward to going back! If you only get one thing, get the French Onion soup! It was featured on Food Network for a reason. You almost need scissors to cut the cheese. 300 East is located in an old house in Dilworth and obviously on East Blvd near the Greek Church.
